A obra parte da aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o entre desenho e bordado, propondo a no\u00e7\u00e3o de \u201cdesenhar como tecer\u201d, em que o gesto gr\u00e1fico deixa de operar apenas como representa\u00e7\u00e3o e passa a constituir-se como forma de pensamento, experi\u00eancia e produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8faea26053fac0f3e65fc0d8a4c7bea8 wp-block-paragraph\">Produzida sobre tecido de algod\u00e3o branco de uso dom\u00e9stico, a pe\u00e7a articula pintura e bordado como camadas de desenho. Sobre a superf\u00edcie do tecido, manchas azuis realizadas com tinta para azulejos dialogam com padr\u00f5es geom\u00e9tricos inspirados em bordados tradicionais presentes na mem\u00f3ria familiar do artista, especialmente refer\u00eancias ao bordado hardanger, chamado em seu contexto familiar de \u201credend\u00ea\u201d. O bordado em linha vermelha introduz uma segunda camada de constru\u00e7\u00e3o visual, transformando o fio em desenho e o tempo em mat\u00e9ria vis\u00edvel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f67dc1a9fc69e8385d3a550a4758dd57 wp-block-paragraph\">No centro da composi\u00e7\u00e3o encontra-se a imagem de uma m\u00e3o em posi\u00e7\u00e3o de figa, desenhada em escala real a partir da observa\u00e7\u00e3o da pr\u00f3pria m\u00e3o do artista. Tradicionalmente associada \u00e0 prote\u00e7\u00e3o e ao afastamento do mau-olhado, a figa estabelece rela\u00e7\u00f5es com ancestralidade, identidade afro-brasileira e pertencimento cultural, aspectos intensificados pela experi\u00eancia migrat\u00f3ria do artista entre Brasil e Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-314b8b74c8c25e9fcc9ee7242b0fd461 wp-block-paragraph\">A obra dialoga com perspectivas te\u00f3ricas da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica e com autores como Tim Ingold, Gilles Deleuze, Henk Borgdorff e Paul Ricoeur, especialmente na compreens\u00e3o da linha como percurso, da repeti\u00e7\u00e3o como produ\u00e7\u00e3o de diferen\u00e7a e da narrativa como experi\u00eancia n\u00e3o verbal.
